International Award Nominations: Bushwhacked!

Australian children’s factual entertainment adventure series Bushwhacked! - Series 2 has proven to be a popular choice with audiences around the world with recent nominations in three international awards.

The series was announced as a finalist in The AIB Awards (Association for International Broadcasting) (UK)  In the Children’s Factual Programme/Series category.   That’s on top of recent nominations for the Wildscreen Panda Awards (UK) – and the Australian Screen Producer Awards (SPA).  Winners for all three awards will be announced in the coming weeks.

Bushwhacked! - Series 2, produced by Mint Pictures, introduces Kayne Tremills’ new co-host, Kamil Ellis.  Each episode shot in different locations around Australia, focuses on a mission where Kayne has to track down one of Australia’s most unique or dangerous animals.  Crisscrossing Australia in search of adventure and Aboriginal culture, our hosts learn from wildlife experts and Indigenous communities who help Kayne achieve his mission.

With a third series currently in production, the series has been extremely popular with its ABC3 audience, and is a favourite with international audiences and broadcasters including  Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, Super RTL (Germany), National Geographic Kids (USA). 

Bushwhacked! - Series 1 and 2 is distributed by the ACTF.
